West Ham want to sign Roma defender, whom Mourinho does not trust

Tom Bogert reports that West Ham United, along with several other clubs, is showing interest in securing the services of AS Roma right-back Bryan Reynolds during the upcoming summer transfer window, writes the WHZ.

The 21-year-old American national is anticipated to depart from Stadio Olimpico following a loan spell at Westerlo, where he made 30 appearances in the Belgian top-flight this season. Despite joining AS Roma in 2021, Reynolds has struggled to earn the confidence of manager Jose Mourinho, featuring for a mere one minute with the Italian giants.

As mentioned by American journalist Tom Bogert in David Ornstein’s weekly column for The Athletic, West Ham United has shown interest in Bryan Reynolds, alongside several Championship clubs. The 21-year-old player is anticipated to depart from Roma after completing a loan spell at Westerlo. It has been reported that Roma has already turned down an initial offer from the Belgian top-flight club for Reynolds.

“Reynolds, 21, is expected to leave Roma after spending the season on loan at Westerlo and the Italian side have already rejected an initial bid from the Belgian top-flight club.

“Championship clubs have also expressed interest given the USMNT international is thought to be eligible for a work permit to move to England.”
